      If you’re not a programmer, you may not know this, but tech recruiters tend to use a shotgun approach.

        In practice, this means that we regularly get emails for jobs we’re not qualified for, grossly overqualified for, unrelated to our work, etc

          This is especially frustrating and discouraging when one is actually job hunting, by the way. A million recruiters, zero actual leads.

            One more thing. If you *do* get lots of recruiter email, use it as a vector for change. Ask “do you offer trans-inclusive health insurance?”
