              We’re required to sign “contracts” that commit us to unnecessary trips to our doctors, extra copays, and sometimes literal pill counts.

            We have to go to the doctor office every month, or for some every *week*, to receive a paper prescription which we bring to the pharmacy.

          The pharmacy can’t prep a controlled substance Rx ahead of time, so we have to take that paper to the pharmacy and wait or come back.

        All we want is to live our lives. All we want is to manage our pain. but instead our lives revolve around getting our medicine.

      It’s I am not here to say that people aren’t dying of opiate overdoses at alarming rates. But we need a better fucking solution than this.

    It’s complicated, & I’m not trying to pretend it’s not. but people are literally killing themselves as an alternative to pain w/o treatment.
