      Until fallback fonts work *while* web fonts are downloading, i move we stop using them.

    lots of people have discovered that the “reader mode” on their mobile browser fixes the missing text problem. they dgaf about your design.

      oh here’s a thought. use javascript to detect web font downloaded, add a css class to the body element that implements it.

        Stick to one family/weight, i.e. headlines. or even better yet: save the HTTP request. Save the bandwidth. Skip the web font.

          i mean i know they’re really great, design-wise, to make sites stand out, complement content, etc. but the experience is just so miserable.
