@tomhenrich I still think of the 2001 blog post I wrote that basically amounts to “it’s not fair that I’m being scolded for being ungrateful for gifts I never asked for, didn’t want, & just add to the meaningless stuff I have to manage” It makes me more thoughtful about the gifts I do buy.
