We pair program, and we're darn good at doing it remotely. We first shipped our primary internal tool for the purpose almost 6½ years ago. Every other week we have "Open Dev Day". My team is remote-first, currently distributed in US Central & Pacific time zones. PayPal (Braintree's parent company) has "untracked" PTO, which I push everyone to take advantage of in the form of days off as needed and contiguous weeks regularly.Permalink On twitter.com
