      1. I have this brand spanking new Chromebook and 1. It shipped with a completely dead battery, so I had to charge it before I could even get started 2. After only using it 20 min out of the box on Friday, this morning the touch screen already doesn't work cool.

      Additionally, because I'm using it in "guest mode" (i.e. I'm not signed into a Google account) I'm unable to do a full/factory reset. Not that I'm convinced that would do anything, it is after all a brand new computer.

    okay wiped it and put it in developer mode. touchscreen froze in the middle of typing the very first time i used it again. ugh i do not want to jump through the hoops of returning and re-ordering but what else can i do?
