      Update: things are definitely getting worse, not better. I’ve been dealing with this for 7 hours (since 23:05) and I am no closer to a flight home.

    Complicating matters, I have a physical disability, and being stuck in an uncomfortable seat isn’t just unpleasant, it’s absolutely not an option.

      I’m almost positive that my spouse and I will pass each other in cabs to and from the airport when I get home and I will continue to not get to see him.

        Update: clearly I was being a pessimist. My spouse and I got to spend AN ENTIRE HOUR together at departures at the airport before he left for his next trip. So that was cool.
