  1. I’ve been going through my records from when I was a teenager with undiagnosed Ehlers Danlos. The records include doctor’s notes. It’s a rough read.

      Consistently doctors didn’t believe what I was telling them. When confronted with lab results they couldn’t ignore, they repeatedly chalked it up to being “viral”.

        Clearly my mother believed me, or I wouldn’t have been seen so frequently. I suspect she felt as powerless as I did though, in the face of the medical authority doctors wield.

          Yes, doctor. I’m sure the 11-year-old experiencing extreme fatigue that has taken her out of school against her will is *definitely* just “stress”.
